The hands behind CharmCooked

Her Story

CharmCooked began during the 2020 pandemic. Having the love for cooking since a child, Charmayne branched into food services after guests raved about her food needing to be in restaurants. In this period, she had more time on her hands to nurture her craft. She started exploring with vegan and vegetarian dishes, and culturally diverse spices and flavors that she would incorporate into her dishes personalized to her liking. She took at shot at it, prayed & trusted God to provide on behalf of a dream she always had. Now CharmCooked is on the rise to the tummies of her fellow community.

A server at heart, she loves outreaches and cooking at home. Family is a huge part of her creativity. She casually jokes about her daughter being her special taste tester, but its become quite a serious role in the growth of the business. Nevertheless, she always loved to put a smile on her kids’ faces and comfort in their bellies.

In addition to having a newborn granddaughter while growing in the medical field, she has been exploring healthier alternatives to incorporate in her meals. Her food is both tasty and good for the body.

Crafted with care

Charmayne’s early memories of cooking are recalled as smelling her grandmothers cooking every morning for breakfast. She would be in the kitchen helping her prep. She would make something out of nothing - utilizing leftovers. Nothing was ever out of a box, it was all authentic. No waste. They were a family that used what they had and being resourceful as possible.

She began cooking for herself when there were meals she desired to explore with. Once she started mastering that, she would cook for close friends and family. Later down the line having a family of her own, she cooked nearly every single day. There were very rare occasions her children ate out. All of this love she poured out branched into a love to make others smile with her food. She has a heart of gold and truly desires to see others happy through the art of cooking.

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord, you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” - Colossians 3:23-24
